Ecotherapy: Finding Meaning in Nature
About Course
Modern life, for many, erodes the quality of our connectedness with nature: we live lives that are increasingly busy, and frequently isolated. The existential vacuum that occurs against this backdrop can be profound. Ecotherapy is a way of framing our well-being, that is where it is inextricably linked to the quality of our relationship with the wider world. There is great meaning in developing that relationship, regardless of whether we live in an urban or rural setting. This eclectic course draws on Frankl’s Existential Theory, and includes the perspectives of Thomas Merton, Henry Miller, John Muir, and others.
This interactive online course explores the existential questions, as well as developing simple but effective strategies to maintain and build our connections.
